Well... im presented with a problem.... again. for the second time in this pc my PSU is dying, aprox. 5 minutes after I startup the pc 5 it starts smelling like burned plastic. I inspected the temperatures and it was not above normal (CPU: 36 degrees Celsius at 20% load GPU: 40 Degrees when idle). and I don't know whats causing it. Does anyone have a clue why it's overheating for the second time?

Specs:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

Mobo: Intel DQ57TM

CPU: Intel Core I3 530 (Socket 1156)

CPU Cooler: LC Power LC-CC-81

Ram: 8gb of Kingston Valueram

GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 560 Twin Forzr II

HDD: WD Caviar Black 1tb

PSU: MS-Tech MS-N750-Val 750W

Note: yes I know this isn't one of those space super computer most people on this forum has, to be honest i can't affort one. and if I have made any grammatical or spelling errors English is not my first language.

Thanks in advance for all the comments,

Gen. Shepard

no, i have the PSU for 1 year i think, but since recently it starts smelling around  5 minutes after i start up my pc.

Ok, that would be a real serious problem if it was new.  Do you have a name brand PSU?  If so it should still be under warranty.  You might just want to stay away from that brand if it's a generic.

Your PSU is broken. STOP using it, and SEND IT BACK. Get a better one. Be lucky your machine isn't dead.

hmm, might just be cheap PSU's. What brands are you buying?

Because you're buying cheap PSU's and expecting them to last. Buy a quality one.

Simple Stryker (Now Finished  ;) )

The Terrible HP

I don't think the CX 750 is made by Seasonic I think it's Channel Well. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The only Corsair 750 watt PSU's are the HX 750v2 and AX 750 I think. I can definitely vouch for the AX.

Make sure it's a Seasonic built PSU and the offer is on for the sock eating.

I would say the white liquid that is dripping is from the glue type stuff from the capacitors Pic Here, Maybe it is getting too hot and the glue around the capacitors to stop them from coil whining is melting, anyway don't use the psu again because it could send a surge to your motherboard killing everything on your system
