Sentry gun

So I saw Linuses video on the nerf sentry gun and I was wondering this would probely be a very nice side project to pursue but unfortunately i spend all my money on steam and cables so I was wondering is there anyway to do this preferably without a laptop cheaply and efficently. I can also buy a lot of old nerf guns of ebay too.

Well... The "cheap" part is a stretch considering:

• You'll want a motorized Nerf gun. Otherwise you're going to have to build something to cock the gun every time you shoot it.
• You're still going to need something to pull the triggers and move the gun around
• You're going to have to build a mount of sorts (I guess K'Nex will do)
• You're going to need some kind of thing to control it, like an Arduino or Raspbery Pi.

well the nerf gun can be bought cheaply on ebay and i have knex but is there any way to do it to just shhot whenever it sees someone woundn't that be cheaper

First you need a way to shoot the gun on its own. How are you going to accomplish that?

I Plan to do whan linus does but is there any way to omit the laptop such as using a aftermarket motion sensor

Sure, you can use a Raspberry Pi and a cheap web cam or something that works with it.

Linus, if you are reading this, please make these upgrades:

You need to properly rewire your Rhino Fire. You could do a kit like this:https://blastersmiths.co.uk/products/rhino-fire-wiring-kit
