iPhone 7 Bluetooth compressed/low quality

Hi Team,

 

Having issues I can't explain with Bluetooth on Apple devices... if anyone can help, that would be appreciated.

 

Problem - audio sounds noticeably better on iPad Pro (over Bluetooth) than Audio from iPhone 7 Plus over Bluetooth. iPhone 7 sound tinny with a narrow soundstage. I suspect it's something to do with compression on the iPhone 7? Happens with Spotify and iTunes audio (downloaded audio, Spotify set to extreme quality). Device being used is the B&W P5 Wireless.

 

• Both devices are using the same source, not streamed and are using the latest OS.
• Have re-paired BT to both devices
• Someone suggested I reset network settings...? - Done. 

 

• Will then try with another iPhone 7 this weekend.
• Will try with another bluetooth headphone this weekend
