So here we go. I made a short post about this earlier last month, but the topic has shifted quite a bit.

My friend currently has something like the ASUS M32BF-US006O:

A10-6700 w/ old AMD cooler

Motherboard w/ 1 PCIe x16 slot

PSU (must replace)

The M32BF case (must replace)

As you can tell, it's a pretty barebones system. His budget is roughly $250. At this point, it looks like he needs a new system, but a CPU + GPU would cost him above his budget for sure. He says he doesn't want to replace his CPU because it'd be expensive, but would it bottleneck the GPU? I'll let you guys experiment with the budget because I don't know anything about AMD CPUs.

Well it has a PCIE 2.0 x16 slot thats a start, thought it has a * beside it on the Asus website (idk why). It looks like its decent

Also there will always be a bottleneck, but I would go for the GTX 1050 Ti any higher and you will get almost nothing.

That's what I thought. Any input on anything else?
