So I have a Focusrite Scarlett USB audio interface that I use with my Audio Technica m50x's, and I would like to upgrade my headphones to the HD600s. What DAC/ Amp do I need? I would like the cheapest option possible, if I need one at all. Can I use it with the Scarlett? (I assume I can't). Would something like the Schiit Magni/ Modi DAC and amp be good? Do I need both, or can I just use the amp?

Thanks

Is that only a preamp? (Focusrite Scarlett)

Yes I think so.

It should work with just your current gear. Here's a thread from *shivers* head-fi.

I also have a HD 600 and there not too hard to power.
