Extending Range on USB headset with USB cable Extension

I own a Corsair Void Black Wireless Headset.  The Wireless transmitter Corsair decided to use is a USB transmitter that is similar to a flash drive.  The problem with it is that because it is similar to a USB flash drive it has to stay in the back of the computer.(I haven't tried front but it wouldn't make a difference because of the orientation I have my computer and I can't orient differently because I can't, trust me)  Don't get me wrong that it works great when I'm sitting at my desk and tbh it actually works pretty well throughout the house but I'd like to be able to use my headset anywhere.  So my plan is to buy a USB extender and just plug the transmitter of that while I run that cable out to a better location in my house.  My question is, is there any technical reason that it wouldn't work or is there a certain type of USB Cable I should get. I was looking at this one on amazon and it looked pretty good but the second review down says that if you try to use it to connect devices to your PC(not as a charger) don't buy it because they won't work properly.  What kind of cable should I be searching for if there is even any that is available that would work as an extension?

Thanks

Nick
