Sound Blaster Z for a Gigabyte Z170MX Gaming 5 motherboard

davidst95

Hi, I just purchased a Gigabyte Z170MX Gaming 5 motherboard.   It has the Realtek 1150 with the Sound Blaster X-Fi MB3 software. My speakers are the Klipsch - THX ProMedia 2.1.   I bought these awhile ago and recently bought a speaker wire upgrade kit.   The original wires are really thin.    Will I notice a difference if I bought a Sound Blaster Z PCIe card?   Thanks for any advice.

In my experience anything with "Gaming" in the title isn't as good as it should be for the price so im not sure. Motherboards don't fall into the category but audio stuff does. It might be really good though.

Thanks for the info.   I haven't open up the box yet so I might look at some other mATX models.
