Mac special sign disabling.

Hi! While using the mac I decided to ramp up the repeat button on my keyboard so I can spam a voiceline in a game for example. But when I tried it, it seemed to not work, and gave me this (image). How do I disable this? I don't use these special characters, and I would like to be able to spam it.

 

P. S. I'm building a pc and I need help with deciding for a ssd. I'm not sure if I should get a 250 gb or 120 gb ssd. The 250 gb is pretty damn expensive considering the original price. The original price is around 80 bux for a 750 evo 250 gb but in Indonesia it's 110 bux. Should I just get a 120 gb for boot and game? Thanks!
