Extreme is obviously the best especially if you do like liquid helium cooling but price to performance wise I would go with the Hero or Hero Alpa because MSI just has really crappy customer support.

just get the msi, not like you're gonna need the extra features on any of the more expensive mobos(hell, i'd doubt you'd use half the features on the msi).

The cheapest that has the features you want.

If you're gonna OC, a Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3

Or for a bit more for more OC stability, Asrock Fatality Z170 Gaming K4

I probably wont be doing any OC because im fairly new to all of this and I wouldnt know how to do it  If I can learn yes I might.

This depends mostly of your use cases and needs, you have to consider if you are going to use WiFi or just cable, if you are going to need Bluetooth, how many USB ports you need or if you need USB type C, if you need thunderbolt, how many fan connectors do you need? There are many variables that should affect your decision
