Cheap analog fan controllers?

Go to solution Solved by fjdhdhcyfhf,

I'll have 10 fans in my case and only 2 fan headers. ATM I'm using 2 3way splinters but I'm adding an xtra 4 fans soon and looking for a discrete small analog fan controller for preferably 6 or more fans. I have no spare USB hub for a digital controller. Also cheap as I don't wanna pay much ?

You can just plug the fans into the psu with no controller. You can run them at a lower voltage if you want it slower.

Make your self a switch for 5, 7, 12V.

A potentiometer and a resistor is the cheapest for analogue control.

For the price of a commercial fan controller its cheaper to get PWM fans.

Right so I got a bunch of white aerocool shark fans cheap and they come with a molex and step down cable also. How would I go about making the switch for this and what exactly would I need?

Can you solder?

If you can just get a switch  and wire one  to 12v and gnd and the other to 12v and 5v

Awesme this sounds perfect. In theory I can use a pull length molex cable from psu with a bunch on it and just use the one switch right?

Yep you can do that. If you don't want to solder, just buy this. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DN3IT7M/ref=twister_B00CNY4NTK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Dang that would be perfect. Shame it's to big and won't fit in my case and its expensive. Soldering isn't a big deal I need to buy my own anyway to fix an old monitor ?
