Looking at upgrading my Windows 7 Gaming rig, spending no more than £700 in the UK.

I want to make the biggest difference to my system. I'm on mechanical drives atm so an SSD (pci if I can) would make a big difference. From what I understand my GPU is the current bottleneck so I'd imagine upgrading that? If I need another CPU i'd imagine i'd be needing another mobo so I'd may as well re-adjust my criteria (maybe even wait) and go about getting new everything at a later date.

Basically I have a rig where a few points are showing their age, mainly lacking in an SSD and a top range GPU. I want to, within reason, not worry about system requirements for a while.

The specs are:

2 monitors atm, one HDMI second is vga/dvi, HD. Possibly a 4K in the future but I'd imagine all that may be assumed anyway.

MOBO - ASUSTeK P8z68
CPU - i7 2600K LGA1155 socket
GPU - Geforce 760
RAM DDR3 16GB 667MHZ (DDR3 64bit 240 pin socket)

PSU: CX600M Corsair

My HDD's are a 500GB and 1TB drives and I have a NAS server too not really relevant.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Upgrade the GPU to either a GTX 1060 6GB or GTX 1070 8GB.

I would just upgrade your gpu and if you still have problems prepare a new build after that

<p>Wish I could have this already!! : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qTLRjX

I would upgrade that system! Things have only gotten more power efficient, so new GPUs and and SSD should work fine with that PSU. :D

Yes, it's 2871 as in the year 2871. I traveled all this way, back in time, just to help you. And you thought your mama lied when she said you were special-_-

I would get a 1440p monitor and a 1070 now, and upgrade the CPU later.
