Wireless Xbox One Controller

My old xbox 360 controller is breaking and i wanted to get an xbox one controller. Would a wireless one work if i plugged it in to a my pc through the charging or can i even use it wireless?

CPU: Intel i9 12900K

Mother Board: MSI z690 carbon WiFi

RAM: Corsair DDR5 6400MT/S

Storage: 2TB Samsung 970 Plus NVMe, 240 SanDisk SSD Plus, Crucial MX300 750GB SSD

GPU: Nvidia RTX 3090Ti FE

Case: Phanteks NV5

PSU: Corsair RM1000X

OS: Windows 11 Home

Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU 27" 1440p @ 165hz

Keyboard: Razer Black Widow Chroma

Mouse: Logitech G502

Sound: Sony MDR 1000x Headphones, Blue Snowball Microphone

 

Laptop Specs:

Gigabyte Aorus 15G

CPU: Intel i7 10875H

RAM: 16gb DDR4

Storage: 512gb NVMe, 1TB Crucial MX300 SATA SSD

GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 Max-Q

I just bought 2 xb one s controllers and the wireless adapter (could also connect wirelessly via bluetooth). Works really well. Only issue I ran into was random disconnects on one controller. Makes me thing that the controller itself is defective.

no, if i get a Bluetooth adapter will it work that way?

Probably yes, or you can just get the xbox one controller wireless adapter.
