The G2 performs a lot better, both are good quality, GQ is just a bit worse in every way. Should be fine for you though.

So I'm hopefully going to be building a rig with a i5-6600k and 1070 (not sure which yet).

So looking thought the pinned posts it suggests around 550w and not everything is about wats, so the build budge is a but bellow £1000.

What PSU do you suggest?

Sorry if this is all in a pinned post, i try, plz forgive.

Thanks

Anything from Seasonic, or a Grey unit CXM. EVGA GQ/G2/GS if you still have the budget for it,.

In the UK you're already spending a lot for your system so perhaps an EVGA B2 or GQ would fit the bill nicely. If you've got a bit more to spend then a modular PSU like the EVGA G2 or Corsair RMi would work a bit better.

Is it worth the extra £7 for +100w?

Is the only difference the semi and full module, and a not really noticeable build difference?

I'd also look into the Corsair RMx/RMi/AXi/HX range of products, or maybe BeQuiet! DarkPower Pro if you have the budget for it.
