This is my 2nd question on the LTT community, and it's about shipping of my computer parts. It's almost Christmas season and I'm building my PC. I don't wanna order it online because I'm scared of shipping and fragile parts of motherboard and that I'll have to wait another whole week and my laptop is near dying. I came back from Maryland and my brother cracked the screen so now the LED is broken and I can't play any games without memory leakage. Therefore, I'm wondering if I sent a list of parts to a Micro Center employee if they could build a PC and hold it for me, or maybe even hold the parts for me until I go and pick it up. Is that possible? PCpartpicker allows you to find prices from different sites and stuff but I'm scared of the shipping and such. Someone please help.

I don't know about MicroCenter. But Newegg has service for building and customizing rigs. You pay for the work (ofc) and like said above, select pick from store as shipping method. PCPP is just listing site, you still need to buy from retailers own stores so it gives you all the options you'd ever need.

If they don't have a customisation option on their site I doubt they'll do it for you. But there are a ton of sites online that will build them for you.

I wouldn't worry about delivery of parts or even delivery of a full computer, they're usually extremely well packaged and protected. These companies make their business on shipping computer parts to people, they wouldn't be in business if their parts were all smashed by the time of delivery :)

I've had computers & dozens of components delivered, never had an issue. Hell I had a monitor delivered to me last week without any packaging other than a cardboard box and it was fine.
