Hi all

I'm building a new system and thought I'd share it with the community here. This build is going to take a few months to complete as I don't have the $$$ to buy all the components outright but I will update as I build. A few things that I'm looking for in this build are high performance, good cooling and silent operation. I also want it to be somewhat future proof and look awesome while doing it.

Project name: FrostFire

Components: Fractal Design Define R5

Seagate 1TB HDD (This is not going to be the primary or secondary storage device. It is simply a backup.)

                      LG Blue Ray optical drive

Started out by stripping down a new Define R5 case. Was originally going to do a black and white build but decided to go black and red instead. Some modifications will be necessary.

As you can see I've painted all the white metal pieces red. It turned out really well. I also installed the HDD and optical drive.

Dyed the white fan blades red. I'm actually amazed how well this turned out. They look like they came from the factory red. Very nice!

That's it for now.... will update as my components come in and are installed.

Thanks for dropping by!!

One more fan dyed and ready for service.

Started out by installing the MB. Not knowing any better I tried to install it with the I/O guard still on which is not possible. After realizing my mistake and taking it off it fit in perfectly.

With the components installed and the cable management done I have to say it looks quite striking. Coming along very nicely indeed!
