Picking up new HDD, need help

I'm buying a new HDD due to them being cheaper for black friday and I came across two that are similar but have a decent price difference.One is the Western Digital Black, 2.5" 1TB, Sata (WD10JPLX) with 32mb of cache and the other is the Seagate 1TB SataIII 7200rpm 64mb cache (ST1000DM003). I re-wrote this from the website as I know almost nothing about HDDs. Is the seagate drive better? It's cheaper than the WD black oen and seems to function identically in addition to a larger cache. Really need advice I have no clue which to go with, thank you in advance!

Go with what's cheaper. They're gonna perform about the same at the end of the day.

 

WD blacks are considered "good" drives for desktops. Seagate are ok too.

As long as you stay away from WD Green, you'll be fine.

This is for a desktop, need a replacement for my old barracuda which is going crazy occasionally don't want it to die out on me. Size isn't really an issue, also what will cache impact in terms of performace?

Data's not backed up and it is important it's quite a lot of school work but I havent had this computer for long so just figured I'd get a new hard drive alongside this one. And probably because we dont have giant flying squirrels to transport people instead of planes if I'd have to guess.
