This is how you transfer windows to another PC:

This is also how you do it if you need to change your motherboard.

No...

Unless by "change" you mean clean install it, which yes you should be doing every time you change motherboards.

You don't need to buy a new copy of windows.

It's better to just download it to a USB and clean install that way because then you can delete everything before installing.

I read the tutorial but I don't have the free version I bought one that is installed on my PC. Does it work the same?

Yes it works the same, download the tool, run it, and it puts windows on the USB.

The link doesn't say anything about downloading it to a usb. It talks about using your windows account and skipping to put in a Windows key and then sign in to Microsoft and it will work since your account is associated with windows
