CPU cooler after installation

phoon
Go to solution Solved by SLAYR,

Yes, just don't try turning it on without a cooler.

Can I build my PC and later on install the cooler cuz I have a corsair 400c and it has an opening to the back of the Mobo...I don't have the cooler right now.

I'll be putting an h100i v2 later

My PC is a fast boyo:

6700K - 32GB - 1080 - 256GB EVO

^^You don't need more info than this right?^^

If you have a stock cooler you can assemble it and use it till you get your h100i. If not, assemble minus the cooler and DO NOT TURN ON.

well depends if the cooler has a backplate or not, because if it has one you will need to take the motherboard out to install the cooler

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler
