Hey guys I may have a SSD problem. I have just built a new rig and have which has a ssd. My problem is that my ssd is filling up and i not installing any other things onto it. For example while was away at school today the window 8 crashed and the computer shut down. I check everything and it seemed to check out except for when I check the ssd. It had gone from having about 76ish gb (not sure exactly) to 65 gb. There is only a few games and the os on this drice so it should have more memory then this. Any help on if there is a problem would be appreciated. I am looking to try and retrieve this memory if possible.

Thanks

Use this software to investigate: http://windirstat.info/ it's top shit.

Not sure about 8, but in Windows 7 there's a hidden file in the root directory of the local disk called hiberfil.sys that only needs to be there for hibernation. It's a desktop pc I assume so it's kinda pointless especially considering it's a huge file (10 gig or something I think). So check that out http://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-7/windows-7-delete-hibernation-file-hiberfil-sys

Also keep in mind that C:\Windows tends to fill itself up with shit, so run the disk cleanup program located in the Administrative Tools part of the control panel.
