Get a 6800K (don't overclock) and X99. @Electronics Wizardy has a good build but I would change to a 1050Ti.

if you are going for editing i would say go for a 6700k. if you are using adobe premiere, it has a hard time taking advantage of more than 4 cores and you can use the rest of that on storage. a big ssd makes a big difference for editing. check out the new 960 evo from samsung. 16gb of ram should be just fine.

You can adapt an NZXT S340 to become a very good case for an EEB motherboard. http://www.overclock.net/t/1539027/nzxt-s340-is-perfect-for-eeb-e-atx-server-boards

Alas, even then I was only able to put the build down to $1200, but you're likely to find a cheaper motherboard somewhere.

If I were you, I would look up whether your programs can use 32 threads, because if it can, the dual E5-2670s will wipe the floor with a 6800K.

It is enough for non-OC 140W CPUs. But the 212 EVO isn't much better, for OC better grab something beefy like a Thermalright Macho Direct.

It will be enough. You don't want to overclock a system that is used for editing if it's the first (or even second) time.
