Are you sure, I was about to do it when and administrator warning came up with a big red Warning symbol.

Yes it's fine, it's just an admin only function.  The name of a drive is just a friendly 'tag' for the humans who will see it.  It doesn't influence where any of the software thinks that files are installed or anything else.

Hello guys or girls , I have been tweaking admin things on my pc. But, I am not sure if I can change the boot drive name safely because at the moment it is just called OS_install and I want to change it. I heard that the file for the user name cannot be changed because other things wont work. Will this be the same problem? Or can I just change it? Also, I have windows 10 pro just in case the OS matters. Could I also change the D drive name?

Many Thanks
