Gigabyte Motherboard displaying blue screen

clemo121

Hello,

I was adding a fan to my PC today and when I tried to turn it back on it booted up to the bios but the bios was a blue screen that only said "GIGABYTE - UEFI DualBIOS" (As seen in picture).

It will keep displaying this screen for about 5 seconds then turn off and so far it seems to be in a continuous cycle.

I have tried removing and putting back in the CMOS battery and tried to move around RAM sticks and leave only one in.

I have also tried moving the SATA cables around the motherboard.

I have a GIGABYTE F2A78M-HD2 Motherboard

Sorry if I have missed anything out.

Have yuo recently updated your BIOS?

Have you tried booting without the fan?

Are you SURE you plugged it into a fan header and not something else?

Not touched the BIOS in months.

I removed the fan when I tried to fix it.

The fan was a molex one.

Then, if it is still within warranty, im afraid you'll have to RMA it.

Simply plugging in a fan to a molex which has nothing to do with the MOBO shoudl not break it

Oh okay, I'm not 100% sure if I can?

I brought the motherboard off eBay a few months ago, it was brand new

Seems like something got bad with the power supply.

Could it be the power supply though?

Everything boots fine

Some times power supplies can break but still be ok enough to post. Just cant supply  enough energy to enter windows and actually do stuff. But this is a guess could be anything.
