If someone can help me

Goldy

Hey LinusCommunity I want to know if the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 WindForce OC 6G supports VGA adapter???

I have a old FHD monitor with VGA connection and I want to know if will work with this video card.

It work on HDMI > VGA??

I really want to buy this new video card but I have fears about this situation.

Why not just do DVI to VGA?

Because this card doesn't support analog ....

OP, if you want to use VGA you will need an active adapter, not just a cable.

Also, what monitor are you using? Is it even worth getting a card that is way overkill for an old monitor?

Not necessarily have to be on HDMI > VGA.

I want to know if will supports VGA adapter and if can be a cheap solution for this it will be wonderful. But I need to be 100% it will work.

I don't want to buy a card which don't work on my monitor.

I no have money for upgrade monitor now, in the future will take a new monitor.

I hear these new video card on NVidia series do not support VGA adapter but I don't sure if is fake or true, that's why I ask you guys.

@alizaidi2000

I can"t upgrade my monitor on 2k or 4k with my current video card.

I need first buy the video card and then I will upgrade my monitor.

As you can see I'm not rich to buy both.

Go with a DisplayPort to VGA adapter, it will be cheaper than an active adapter.

The new NVIDIA cards do not support passive DVI-I to VGA adapters because those require a special type of DVI port which the new NVIDIA cards do not have. HDMI and DisplayPort to VGA active adapters will still work. Active adapters don't require any "support" from the graphics card. Generally DisplayPort to VGA is recommended if you don't have a DVI-I port.
