Overclocking will shorten its lifespan. The best OC settings depend on you and the card. If you want it to last a long time don't mess with adding voltage. Look up some guides on how to do it, it's a very straightforward process.

Every gpu is different, some overclock well and some dont overclock at all.

I suggest watching a guide, from jayz2cents or something.

If you dont have the patience, just increase the core clock until you see artifacts (small steps, like 10mhz) and then bump the core voltage up.

in my expirience memory clock dosent really matter in games.

I wouldn't bother with that cooler. The G1 480 is junk and I'm pretty sure they used the same cooler on the 470. What are your temps like?

70c in games is good.

 

There are no best settings for any GPU. Each chip is different and you have to go through the motions to find the best setting for yours.
