So hey guys as said in the title i think my old lenovo z400's gpu is not working cause in the past especially when i got it first it can play games like dota2 with no problems in high settings and other games like sleeping dogs and not so heavy titled games but now it runs like shit and can't even run dota2 in mid settings and stay at 60fps. So i was thinking maybe the dedicated gpu on my laptop is not working anymore and its using the igpu only.

Check in the Nvidia setup, make sure the dedicated GPU is selected as the main option! Sometime the auto select doesnt work after updates! I had to change this when I updated my laptop drivers when I first got it

Did that but still performance sucks. Unlike in the past but there are some factors too though that degraded the performance like thermal paste on the gpu. Haven't had the chance to open up my laptop since im busy with school and gaming HAHAHAHA.

Ahhh ok man sick, yeah u maybe getting temp issues! Also laptop heatsinks clog up easy over time so check its clean and the thermal compound is good as well! That GPU was always hot even by laptop standards! Best of luck dude

It's been almost a year or two that my laptop is like this hadn't bother that much cause i got my gaming rig but now that i tend to bring my laptop to school i would really like to get the old performance back so i can use it when i have vacant time. Thanks man! hopefully i could make it run like it used or at least make the performance better.
