My raid zero is failing on my hard drive. How can I fix this?

One of the harddrives failed. Raid 0 has  disadvandages llike No redundancy or fault tolerance. If one drive in the RAID fails, all data is lost.

You should actually have known the dangers of RAID Zero.

 

Seeing as you mention: "is failing", I advise to start backing up that drive NOW! No tomorrow. NOW!

Backup all the data, then remove the failing drive and re-build the array. Wouldn't advise doing another RIAD 0 array though.

There's no rebuilding. It's just replace, and refill

Meant re-create, not rebuild.

If you can still access your data on the RAID, BACKUP IMMEDIATELY IF YOU HAVENT ALREADY.

Then find out which drive is failing, replace it, and re-create the array. However, I strongly advise you create a RAID10 (1+0) array for protection.

I actually recommend you not use Hardware RAID at all, due to it being hardware dependent, unless you've purchased 2 of your motherboard or RAID cards.
