Black screen, new 1080

My 1080 just arrived and as always i was excited. I uninstalled all my AMD drivers, audio etc. Then i installed my 1080 but now its just a black screen. What must i do?

All drivers for 1080 are up to date with geforce experience?

Did you select the right OS when downloading the drivers?

Ok, I assume you did this: PC off > Put in GTX 1080 > Turn PC on > Download Drivers from GeForce Drivers page > Install Drivers > Turn PC off > Turn PC on > Black screen. Is this sequence correct? If not, could you provide the exact sequence? :)

I would try to re-seat the card, and check the cables.

 

You should still be able to get a picture, even without the Nvidia drivers.

U know what, this might be the problem, i had a MSI r9 390 and it had a 8 and a 6 pin, now what i did is just connect the 8 pin and i hid the 6 pin. Could that be the problem?

Could it be an issue with power usage? what psu do you have

i have nt installed the nvidia drivers yet. Dude i have a black screen from the beginning so i cant do anything.

EVGA 650W G2, but i thought that power will be an issue
