So I have just upgraded my GPU from a 750ti to a 1060 6GB and i am not noticing much performance change.

The system fully recognizes its existance and it has all of its drivers but it just under performs like hell, might it be my 3.2GHz CPU or is it something i forgot to do. if i try to use GPU tweak 2 its seams to make no effect. The fans won't go on and i set them to gon on at aboput 50C but the card only ever reachees around 43C. What is going on ?

CPU: Ryzen 7 3800X 4.4GHz | GPU: RTX 3070 FE | RAM: Corsair Dominator RGB 4x8GB 3600MHz DDR4 | MoBo: ASUS Crosshair Hero VIII  | Case: Corsair 5000D AF CPU cooler: Corsair H150i CapellixPSU: Corsair RM850x |

you probably have intel graphics

go to the BIOS, disable it and boot up

43C is very good for a video card. Keep it.

Yeah but on Rise of Tomb Raider and Heaven Benchmark i only get 20-30 odd FPS.

So? You probably have intel/integrated into CPU graphics enabled by default. Disable that. Enter the BIOS and disable Intel/integrated into CPU graphics, save and reboot.

If you have an APU, disable integrated graphics.

If you have a i3/i5/i7/Xeon, disable Intel/integrated graphics.

Check if you connected everything okay and disable the igpu of the processor. Looks like you are not actually using the GPU since 43 degrees are idle temps.

How would this actually be done, i tried it but couldnt really find an option in the bios. And whenever i benchmark or whatever it says its using the 1060.

Turn the frame rate to the lowest setting and it should appear. Click on that and put it up again.

My build is having a bad problem right now, which might be relate to yours. What is happening is my cpu is usually at 100% usage (it's not supposed to be) while my gpu is usually only at 60-85% (This is supposed to be the higher value). I have a i5-6500 at 3.4ghz and a EVGA 1060 FTW+ at 2038mhz, and things perform like garbage. The only fixes I've found that work in general for people is if they have dual channel ram (I don't).

Meh Build -

Im pretty sure i have dual channel ram, but my cpu isnt going that high, im just getting rubbish performance. Afterburner and GPU Tweak tell me the card is going at 2050MHz clock with mem clock at 810 MHz and a temp of 43C
