Hello people on this website,

i've been looking into upgrading my prebuilt pc for a while now, and since BF1 lags alot I thought I'd take it serious. I haven't got the most money in the world, maybe ~150 euros per part or a little bit more. My current specs:

AMD A8 7600

MSI GeForce GTX 750ti slightly overclocked dont know how much exactly

16gb RAM

Sharkoon WPM BRONZE 500w Power Supply with 2 PCI-E plugs

and a FM2/FM2+ motherboard, dont know the exact numbers and stuff since the box is gone, its made by Gigabyte though

I was thinking about a 1050ti, and maybe an A10-5750 or something like that. I live in the netherlands if that may effect any shipping... Ive never actually built a pc or anything before, except for a minibike but thats unrelated. ive only tried to install a network card that apparantly didnt fit after several hours of struggles

I hope you guys can help me make a decision

I recomend you trying to stick to the A8 first. Its not the fastest chip thats for sure but with a 1050ti it should be fine. but TRY to save up for an 1060 or better/cheaper a 470 from AMD.

The CPU upgrade only makes sense to shwitch to a new soccet.

I defenetly suggest to to wait for Zen

Try for a 1060 (maybe too much for you) or a 470. I would get a new cpu. Like an i3 6100 which would be  a significant increase over your apu as BF1.

moving socket means getting a new motherboard now although I agree that an i3 would be vastly better than an apu it does increase the cost of the update.

@SidelingLemon 150 per part so 300 for the gpu and cpu?

If 150 per part then he can stretch to i3 without problem, 750ti is still a good gpu and he can wait

Idd wait for Zen. This will be ceaper and i am 100% sure in this price point there will be some verry nice options from AMD.

Getting a 470 will be the best option now.

for BF1 a 1050ti is hardly ok

750ti is a nice card.

But the newer ones will perform better in terms of DX12 Vulcan and stuff

Get yourself a i5 6600K with alteast 8GB of ddr4 2133 ram. I don't know what type of games you are going to play, but i would recommend a videocard > GTX 960.

i guess this will be to expensive for him.

And dont buy CPUs now... WAIT for Zen and compare your options then

When Zen comes out Intel will announce something like the 7000 series and they will outperform AMD with 20%. it happens every time xD

but will a 1060 need a power cable from the PCU? because i have some modular system and to find such cables i would need to search alot even if i have them, but that doesnt matter. its about 240 euros over here for the cheapest ones, yet i have a VGA monitor (which i should upgrade, its a NEOVO F-417 Grey/Black) i wanna be a little future-proof so i think ill have to pay a little bit extra. I have one question though (reminder: i am quite new to "serious" pc gaming, used to play on a cheap 300$ prebuilt supermarket pc) is it possible to put a 1060 and a 750ti in one pc and use both at the same time for better performance?

after doing some research i found out the i3 6100 is a dual core processor, wont that bottleneck anything? and wouldnt the i3 need a different socket?

i suppose you guys are talking about the new Zen line of products of AMD?

what pricepoints would they be? ive searched alot and couldnt find a thing about price, nor socket but i think that will stay the same because its AMD's tech. i only saw it would be releasing before end of this year and it would outperform i3 i5 and i7
