Hi everyone!

I'm a freelance film editor in need of a new editing rig. I've been doing a lot of research lately, but I wanted to open up a discussion with others that have more experience with PC building. I frequently work with 4K footage that is loaded with tracking, compositing, text, and color correction. I also do some moderate gaming occasionally as well. But most importantly, I need this rig to handle Premiere, After Effects, and Media Composer with ease under these conditions. As far as price goes - I'd rather spend $3000 on a really good setup than $1500 on something that won't be much better than what I've already got (2012 MacBook Pro with an SSD and 16GB of RAM). I'd particularly like to know if anyone has had issues with any of these parts in the past, but any help with part alternatives, building advice, etc. would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Good to know! I'm currently planning to get the Supernova P2 for Platinum efficiency.

It's an awesome PSU, I have it myself. I don't even know how it sounds because it's so quiet. I can strongly recommend it. I would replace the stock fans of the H115i with Corsair SP 140's. The stock fans are very loud and can get rather annoying. I would also go with faster memory (3000 MHz+), as it helps a bit in video editing.

I rethought your build and replaced some of the core components (Motherboard, GPU, RAM) and came up with this. Im not sure how much your original build cost, this one might be more expensive, but it will perform way better. Here it is:

BTW, the NZXT Kraken x62 is $160ish. It isn't buyable now because it is a rather new product but it should be soon. It doesn't perform much better than the others but it looks 10x better then the rest in my opinion. If you can't find one in stock when you want to buy it or the price is too high, just go with the corsair one you have in your original build
