motherboard to go with i5 6400

whats the best motherboard to go with i5 6400? i was thinking asus z170 pro. but is there any better alternative around the price range, msi or gigabyte are better?

and which ddr4 should i go for, kingston, corsair, gskill?

Get some H170 motherboard.

Or even B150.

 

Those are more than good enough for locked chips.

The cheapest (that has the features you want, be it M.2, RAID through the PCH, 4 RAM slots or whatevs), and the cheapest RAM that has CAS latency 15.
