Greetings again,

So my friend and I have located some cost effective RAM for our aforementioned project. We aren't sure about the compatibility of it with the board we are purchasing here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Supermicro-X7DBR-8-Rev-1-21-Motherboard-server-board-16-memory-SCSI-SATA/191755630170?_trksid=p2060778.c100275.m3474&_trkparms=aid%3D333008%26algo%3DRIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140723144412%26meid%3Dbc3cbc9a6b6d4efcbbbc43c7b49c5aa0%26pid%3D100275%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D371756270654

The RAM we located is here: https://www.amazon.com/Memory-PowerEdge-240pin-PC2-5300-Upgrade/dp/B00609C8EG/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?ie=UTF8&ref_=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top

Can we get some help to verify if it is compatible? Much appreciated guys!

I just wasn't sure, it was labeled for use in a dell server so I didn't know it would have impact.

nvm, I misread, it's 2x4gb sticks so it should work, sorry I'm a little tired

Your board has

  • Eight 240-pin DIMM sockets

and supports

  • Supports up to 32 GB 667 / 533MHz DDR2 ECC FB-DIMM memory

While the RAM you want is

  • Brand new certified 240pin PC2-5300 667MHz DDR2 Fully Buffered FBDIMM Black Diamond Memory

Like I said I wasn't sure based solely on the manufacturing name and context provided, still learning myself.
