Help needed please!!

BraytonH

Hello everyone, I have just bought a new GTX 1060 amp! Edition 6gb card and I installed it into my PC. The PC works fine on integrated graphics but when I plug in the graphics card it doesn't work and the monitor doesn't get any signal. Please help!!

Ive tried everything and I've made sure it's seated correctly and everything.

There might be an option in your BIOS that allows you to choose between internal graphics and your graphics card (Usually something along the lines of "Use PCI-e graphics")

Let me show you some of the options it says. I go into setting in the BIOS, then advanced. Then there's

1.PCI Subsystem Settings

2. ACPI Settings

3. Integrated periphirals

4. USB config

and some other ones that I don't think should matter in this case.

Try PCI subsystem settings, there should be more options in there.

Try integrated graphics settings.

That's in integrated graphics settings. If I plug in my GPU I don't get any signal to the monitor at all.

What I mean is open the tab in the advanced menu, and then select integrated graphics configuration.

430 watt should be enough...

It's enough for my build, just check the Pcpartpicker link

I am sorry if I've been confusing, but I need you to go to back to this menu and select the option I have circled in the picture.

If you haven't already done this, turn off your computer, install your card, and then select "dual graphics" in that menu, then restart.

I can't though, because when nothing is visible on the monitor when I plug in the video card. After installing it and turning on PC, screen is just black.

Where is the monitor plugged into when you do that?

Through the integrated graphics connector on your motherboard, or one of the ports on your graphics card?

I tried both. Neither showed results.

Is it even turning on with it in?, also you can try enabling that "dual graphics" option.

My PC is turning on, like the fans and lights, but no signal to the monitor and the keyboard doesn't turn on.
