Christmas is coming!! Help

Should i opt for a headphone,microphone combination? Or just for a headset? My budget is maxed around $75. Also if i go for the dedicated headphone, the mic has to be semi-decent. like not like audi-technica level, but not chinese quality. thanks. also open back headphones would be prefered, so i can hear if somebody is calling me in my house

I play CS:GO so i sound whore a lot. I'm entering highschool so versatile headphones are generally appreciated. Also are wireless headphone shit? Like im looking into the G930, but its not open back and thats a turn off. I currently have PX22 and they are turning flimsy, so i can change so if they do break.

 

I've heard Sennheiser makes some decent headphones for the price. Should i go for that?

Sure but if you're looking for a decent mic then you're out of look. Also, depends on what music you like. Sennheiser is known for their "flat" sound signature that audiophiles love, but other manufacturers turn up bass because the music most people listen to nowadays is bass-centric. I'm listening to music right now on my Cx 300 ii IEMS (what Sennheiser calls "bass headphones" and most people find bass severely lacking (I like the signature though)

 

fair warning -- you will look and feel like an utter twat wearing any half-decent over-ears. That's why Beats got so popular, they're the only headphones you can wear in public without embarrassing yourself.  

lmao, i had beats studio generation 1, and the adjuster broke, and the leather on the ear cup started shredding off. ABSOLUTE SHITTY QUALITY.

 

also i bring apple earbuds to school, since im not afraid to loose them. 

I might just opt for a headset i guess. Probably just go for G930 or Cloud II, still not sure though.

i just got the Philips SHP9500 and the V-MODA BoomPro Gaming and couldnt be happier. Combined its just under 100 dollars and the 9500 are open back. The mic plugs right in and it sounds amazing. I had the Corsair Voids but those are trashed compared to these.

My parents have amazon prime, so the 2 day shipping is good. Also i never experienced an issue with amazon so i will probably just stick with them. Brand loyalty?
