I am looking for a laptop that will last the next 2 years until I can get a job and get a brand new one.

My price range is $120.
I either want AMD quad core or Intel dual core hyperthreaded.

A popular processor at the price range is a 2520m or 2540m.

Would this hold up?

And also I know I can upgrade this to 8GB RAM easily, if I do ugrade it can it play CSGO 720p Medium @ 30 FPS? Or even lowest 720p GTA 5?

Nope. it won't able to get cs go anywhere far. I had a laptop with i3 5005u and can barely get 50fps on low settings with integrated at 720p (well it's 768p). Medium/high gets only 20 and for demanding game like GTA V I highly doubt. I would hold for a pc as 120 is not something you should spend on as it won't give anything useful. Think about selling that refurb. Who gonna buy?

120$ for a laptop is pretty much scraping the burnt bits out of the pan for a meal.

That laptop will get you nowhere for what you want it to do.

GTA 5 needs 8GB of RAM listed in system requirements.

CS:GO will be run easy because sources' system requirements doesn't need as much as newer titles. I recommend a decent processor for source games.

You should run CS:GO a little above 30.

Again, with 8GB RAM and a fresh install of windows it might do more than stock

But I would be fine with 30 FPS low Unturned @720p and 720p 60FPS youtube

Yeah congrats. You can play GTA at 10 FPS. The CPU is $30 good luck.

Not even 10 fps lmao. I'd be surprised if it got past the play button

Better CPU! But not big increase. Probably couldn't run ski free.

That CPU is very popular for laptops in the $100 - $200 price range. And I am looking at the ARK for it and it seems like it would fare well. Now what do you think of Sims 4 running on it? Or even CS:GO @720/60FPS

I honestly wouldn't know. Look up benchmarks for the CPU.

Would THIS : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834261473 : fare any better if upgraded to 8GB RAM?

the CPU is not that terrible , biggest neck will be the GPU in stuff like CSGO , but for normal tasks and light games it will be just fine

Edit: checked the specs and benchmarks , its CPU is a few % better than my laptops 2450M , but the GPU is 3~5% slower than my laptops GT520M

and that laptop can play some games on low settings ( i played armored warfare on low preset at 30+fps) ,

id say go for it , for 125 its not a terrible deal , but dont expect to play competitive CSGO
