Need help with PS2 hook up.

That converts from an HDMI source to a composite display. I think you want something that goes the other way around.

Well I have an HDMI cable as well I could just hook up into the RCA to HDMI converter. So I figure if it's a lot less of a hassle I would just try this instead.

I mean, unless your monitor has composite input ports it's not going to be very useful. That converter takes an HDMI image from your source and sends a composite signal to the display. I think you want something that takes a composite source and converts to HDMI.

I'm still looking to go from RCA to HDMI but I'm just wondering if with what I posted if that will work I'm not looking for this. lol

Yes I'm looking to go from composite to HDMI either that or Composite to VGA, but preferably whatever is easier to do.

the ps2 is just literally your playstation 2's video and audio output on the back, instead of the cable you plug in that device and it handles the conversion from there. if you want to convert your playstation 2's output to hdmi than that thing is probably going to be the easiest way to do it without having this spider of wires and converters.

thats okay, blame console manufacturers for using these weird standardized connectors lol. here in europe we used the good ol' scart which could handle just about any digital or analog video and audio signal i think, it was mandatory by law. sad that america never went with that though, the quality is so much superior over composite.

well apple had their weird 21 pin connector for the iphone that looked like a slim four port serial connector lol

That is composite video.

Your best bet is to get the Component cables and run a Component to VGA or HDMI box.

yea 30 pin, somehow i messed that up once and i keep thinking 21 pin instead of 30. dunno why. yea it was SOOO fucking bad, i bent the pins inside of it multiple times and even broke of the pcb inside the fucking iphone like it was sooo sheit.
