Computer crashes every time I try to start it

Hi,

I have a problem with my friend's computer. It pops up a BSOD everytime I try to boot it. It had worked for a couple of days before this started. I can get to the BIOS, but not any further.

I have tried what I know of that could be the issue. The BSOD said that there where a pagefile in non pagefile area, at every crash. Which could maby indicate it to be the RAM? I switched it with some RAM I knew were good, but for no help. It crashed again but this time saying that the boot drive is corrupt. Which could mean the drive is corrupt right? But the thing that is strange is that I cleaned the whole disk and tried to reinstall Windows with a USB after that crash, and the same BSOD comes up when I try to boot from the USB. So it might be the motherboard? I really don't know, could use some help.

Thanks :)

Specs:

i7 6700k

Cryorig H7

Asus Z170-a mobo

Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666MHz

MSi GeForce GTX 1070

EVGA 650 supernova

What is the exact bsod message and code?

Pagefile is the ram space that is stored on the hard drive when you run out of ram, are you hitting 100% ram usage, I would suggest running memtest on the ram.

Did you ever reset CMOS, take the disk and OS out of the equation, just try to get into BIOS and see if it will stay in BIOS without crashing. Perhaps its a failed OC, perhaps something on the board is going bad. Resetting CMOS can fix sooo many problems, it's always one of your first resorts. Be sure you google or ask to do it the right way, once you reset, load optimized defaults and save and quit and try to get back into BIOS and see if it stays on for a bit. Then you can go ahead and proceed with your Windows install.

Go to Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Advanced > Performance > Settings... > Advanced > Virtual Memory > Change...

Uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drives, check No Paging File, then Apply.

It should have an accompanying atop code like 0x0000#, but that is a ram issue.

Unhook the drive SATA completely. Go down to just one stick of ram in dimm slot 1 (check motherboard book).

Can you get into BIOS now? Can you try CMOS reset again if not?

Turn the machine off and leave the PSU cable plugged in but PSU off, jump the CMOS pins with a screw driver for 6-10 seconds or press CMOS reset button if it has one.

I can get in to the BIOS just fine. The MemOk button on the motherboard also say the memory is totally fine. Ive tried unhooking both (2) drives and seen if I can get into the flash drive, but the same crash happens even then.

Might go into your BIOS,, SATA configuration, change it to IDE mode to try.
If it boots up, then there is a registry edit so the OS it will load the AHCI drivers first.

After a restart you can go back into BIOS and change it back to AHCI.

If that doesn't work I'm out of idea without having it sitting in front of me. Goodluck.

Right now I don't have Windows installed on the disk. The main problem now is that I get a BSOD when I try to enter the USB to install Windows.
