Depends on what games you'll be playing.. Stuff cpu bound like battlefield, Sid Meiers, then sell your cpu and get an i5 6600. If you play mostly gpu dependent games Tomb Raider, Cod, almost every game, then save up a few more bucks/sell your current gpu and get a 1060 6gb or Rx 480. The 470 isn't really worth the upgrade imo bc the 750ti is basically a rx 460. Don't get a 3gb 1060, not bc they're "awful" but bc the amount of vram will become a bottleneck. For me ik games like Siege, Tomb Raider, and quite a few others use almost 4gb of vram at max settings.

The 1060 6gb is really good in performance and offers a lot of VRAM for your games. However if you are strapped for cash you could always get a second hand 970 which has similar performance the only downfall on the 970 is that when you use more than 3.5 gig's of its ram it has input lag. But if you do have the cash 1060 6gb for sure.

It runs quiet and cool and is a great performer

You are quiet wrong there is only a 5-8% Performance difference on the 1060 3Gb. http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-970-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1060-3GB/2577vs3646

The 980ti Is very close to the 1070.

I suggest you look up how the benchmarks of games from real website not from userbenchmark. Sure I can oc crazy my 970 to the point it surpass the 1060 3gb and leave 1060 at stock

About 5-10 Frames different very similar. and a second hand after market 970 would be cheaper, and worth the small amount of frame difference.
