Headphones/headset upgrade

Hello everyone! So I'm in the market for a new headset or headphones and I really don't know which to get. My budget is 150-200 and it should be available on Amazon. I used to have an Audio Technica M40X but somehow I lost it at uni (sucks I know >.>) and I'm currently stuck with my Logitech G230 which give me a headache. I've seen reviews and lists and really couldn't decide on which headphones to get. I also need a good sounding mic for Discord/TS. Should I just go with something like the Sennheiser Game Zero? or something from Razer? (I even considered getting the Astro A50s but idk ...) I could also go above 200 if necessary but I'm kinda lost atm. It has to be over-ear , doesn't leak sound much and if it doesn't have a mic I could just use get a ModMic 4.0. Thank you!

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5800X GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080 12GB + Motherboard: Asus Crosshair VIII Hero

Case: Asus ROG Strix Helios Gundam Edition Power Supply: Asus ROG Thor 850P

I really have a thing for colors, and lights/LEDs, so I got the Logitech G933 Wireless, but I wouldn't get them again. Their made of plastic, and tend to slide of my head. I would much rather have spent the money elsewhere despite them being about the only wireless headsets with leds.

Computers r fun

These are the two main options I would look at

K553: really good soundstage for closed headphones, with fairly balanced bass and treble

DT770: Really comfy, They have a V shaped sound signature, kinda like the M50x, but with a bit less bass and a bit more treble.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Feel free to pm me if you have a question for me or quote me. If you want to hear what I have to say about something just tag me.

If I had to pick I'd echo @Dackzy and suggest - if you liked your M40s, to get the DT770 or... just get your M40s again if you want to save some cash. Sometimes it's best to go with what you know you like rather than try something new. :D

That's the thing I wanna try something new! Are the DT770's worth it though? Compared to the M40X or even M50X. I'm really clueless when it comes to audio.

I have the DT770 pros, worth every single penny. Nice soundstage for a closed back headphone.

Although i cheaped out on the amp cos i just wanted something small to power up these babies, got the fiio k1. My motherboard was not able to power these headphones (yes my pc is from the stone age), so i got an amp, try it first on your motherboard before getting an amp.

they have a bit higher audio quality than the m50x (not much), bigger soundstage, more comfy.

I can't say if you think they are worth it or not. Audio is very personal preference.
