Hey

A friend of mine and I are working on a budget gaming pc. The budget is around €1000 - €1100 (~ 1150 USD). The goal is to be able to play almost all games at a minimum of 60FPS on a 1920x1080 screen, with high video settings.

We already though about the following build, and would love your opinion if this is the best build we can get for this budget. Also, if you see that something isn't compatible, please let us know!

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600

Motherboard: MSI Z170I Gaming Pro AC

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 6G

Case: NZXT Manta - Matte Black/Red

CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED
RAM: Avexir Core AVD3U16001104G-2CIR

PSU:  Corsair VS350

SSD:  Samsung 750 EVO 500GB

Thanks in advance

You need more wattage for PSU, i would pick up Seasonic S12II 520W for that build. Also you should go with i5 6500 since 6600 is not that much of a upgrade (it has same performance). Also you should get 1 or 2TB HDD.

AND i would not consider 1000-1100 euro as a budget build :D

Thank you for your suggestions. The reason we had this low wattage PSU is because of a PSU calculator. I however agree with you that more is probably required, and we are looking into your suggested PSU.

While researching the recommended CPU's for today's games, we found out on multiple sources that a 6600 is the most mentioned one. We also already have a 500GB HDD, so add that to the SSD, and we have 1TB of storage, which in my opinion would be enough.

And yes, the budget part was a translation mistake. :$

With that budget you could probably stretch to 16gb ram

Yes i5 6600 is better than 6500 but by very small difference which is probably like 3-5% which is not worth the extra price of the 6500. Personally i would not buy 6600 instead of 6500. Also it might be that you saw 6600K as the most mentioned one which is a lot better than 6600.
