PSU wattage

Hi, I am going to buy a Dell workstation with Quadro M4000 and, in near future, GTX1080. What wattage is needed to power those two beasts? (I have 2 options, 685W or 825W)

 

Other specs:

Xeon E5-2630v4

64GB DDR4 RDIMM ECC

Anything from Tier 1-3 from the PSU tier list in my signature that's >= 500w (and that has the required connectors).

The 685W one would be fine go for the 800w if you are going for multiple gpus.

The stock dell workstation psus aren't bad.

I would say if those were your only two options to spring for the 825W. Less risk of maxing the supply and more leeway for the future or long-term usage.
