hey guys, this is one of the many areas I'm not very knowledgable in. I'm about to set up 2 video editing computers for a client. I was originally just giving each their own storage, but sharing files was mentioned by my client. Is there an appropriate NAS I can build/buy that would allow constant read/write from 2 computers?

I dont know what benefit you would get with a NAS for just two devices. You would be adding the cost of extra drives and hardware but you won't get better performance than just regular windows folder sharing between 2 computers. You should be getting them a good backup solution. USB backup drives will be more cost effective, practical, and faster than NAS. Plus you can take the USB drives home at the end of the day

Id probably use internal storage. Cheaper and simpler.

If you want good performance from a nas, you really need 10 gig, and a full proper setup with a premade nas is about 5k for the whole setup. If you want to diy, you could get under 2k with drives, but its still a pain.
