every card is different, push it till it crashes then once it does dial it back till it does not,

 

when you OC you want to start at the base clock and slowly up it, dont just set it at a higher speed and have it crash, if you're going to OC do it the right way.

1070s typically can reach up to 2100mhz boost clock, and if you won the silicon lottery you can go past that without adding much voltage. but the boost clock can fluctuate due to GPU Boost 3.0. add +20 mhz overclock and test for a while. if it's stable and you don't see any artifacts add more overclock.

i started with a 50Mhz core clocked and it crashed....
