Bottleneck 1060?

Go to solution Solved by Megah3rtz,

not by much, only ~10fps or so. depends on the title. You could overclock if you wanted, only if your motherboard if you have a decent motherboard + cooler, and I think there would be no bottleneck.

(Before this starts, excuse me if I posted this in the wrong discussion)

I'm not all that good with computers and specifics, but I can build one and I know a little bit about them. But, my two friends are very good with them, and one of my friends told me that my AMD FX-8320 Eight Core Processor would bottleneck a 1060 but my friend on the other hand said it wouldn't (but he owns the same CPU as me and has upgraded to a 1060 with no problems, my other friend has an Intel i5 6600k) I want unbiased facts. Would it bottleneck?

(Edit: I plan on getting a 6GB card)

i personally had an FX-8320 overclocked to 4.6ghz paired with a GTX 780 and the CPU was limiting the graphics card in many (not all) games...GTX 1060 is a GTX 980 with more memory, so yes it will limit you a bit in many games, a lot in some others, and not at all in some others depending on your screen resolution and settings.
