I need help to decide me future PC.

AssAss1n

So, I am trying to build $550 PC. Which will have i5 4460 and GTX 1050 Ti along with 8GB Ram.

I heard that Nvidia's next lineup of GPUs will launch in 2017 in May (I don't know if this is true), Should I wait for it? I am a student and I have exams in July, So I can't play games anyways until Summer. If Volta is really launching in 2017's May, Should I wait for GTX 2050 to arrive?

Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @3.3Ghz | Asus P5Q SE2 775 Socket | Asus Geforce 9600GT 1GB @700Mhz | 2x2GB DDR2 800MHZ RAM | 400w Codogen PSU | 310GB Seagate 7200.10

if youre looking at a 50 series card it will come in a year only the top end cards like the 80 and 70 series will be out by then no point waiting unless you dont plan to get a pc for a whole year.

I want to get PC now, But if new parts are launching soon I can wait without a problem, because I don't really have much time to play games. Even if perfomance gain is 15-20% I am sold.

they wont be coming out anytime soon it will be a year at least unless you can afford a next gen 80 series card next year and dont need a pc until then.

if you can wait, the intel HD530 iGPU is still good enough for very light gaming. i'd wait for AMD vega instead which seems to be coming out at the end of 2016 IIRC.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

While I don't have money for 80 series card, I don't really need it. I will play on 1080p screen so Its pointless for me. So no GTX 2050 for July 2017?

Vega will have High-End stuff as far as I know which I won't be able to afford.

volta will likely take too long, just get what is now avaliable and be done with it.

Come back when you're about to buy.

We have no numbers on Volta performance or even price.

I am asking this, because I am probably getting PC this winter, and If there is infromation about Volta coming out next year, I would wait.

I just want to play games at 1080 medium-high setting while having 60fps and that card mostly delivers that. I wanted RX 470, but It is not available in my country.
