First I've heard of it. The phone's almost been out for a year, and if problems like that are just now surfacing I think it's user error. Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

Interesting... Either way still give it a try. The chances of this happening are msot likely very slim. The phone is very powerful and you wont be disappointed when you get one.

Hmm let's see, maybe 20 people have had this issue out of how many tens of millions of S7s that have sold?

No product is perfect, there will always be some units that have defects. Manufacturing processes aren't perfect.

Check the warranty. It might say it doesn't cover glass.

But seriously, 30 out of 25,000,000 is a 0.0000012% of it happening. You have a much greater chance of being struck by lightening than having an issue with the camera lens. So yes. You're being paranoid.

iv had mine since it march. No problems but I keep it in a case that has about 4mm or so of thickness. Doesn't surprise me the lens breaks because it protudes slightly from the phone. Id say its because people dont take care of their shit. Any phone without an external case runs the risk of the camera lens scratching and breaking. The S6 is exceptional in that the camera bulges out of the phone body.

my problem with the s7 is that it just gets really hot...thinking of finding a mobo heatsink to stick to the back of the thing lol. Not saying it overheats, but getting to 38-39ºC when I'm using it heavily. Just figured I'd mention that for a prospective buyer

Like I said just figured I'd mention it, sometimes just using the internet makes it go off, and then it acts funny. then again maybe it's just my expectations vs reality

From the phone being put under load with app, otg and gaming, from the added heat of setting up the phone first time to fast charge, to using pressure  (a bit) to install dbrand skin to using a heatgun to adhere to it, my lens hasn't cracked. I do believe it's either a user or manufacture fault. Mines is fine. Never had any glass break with all of my phones :/

Also the phone gets warm with heavy use but it calms down after a while, could be calibrations or background apps. The s7 edge is fine.
