Router's DNS not working

JakobOlason

I can not find any guides on the internet.

so my DNS got broken after I setup a program called DNS. I quickly found out that it wasn't a very good program. I removed it with the help of a guide from their website, but it just went downhill from there.

I tried to open up my mail, but it didn't work, and it said DNS_PROPE_FINISHED_BAD_INTERNET. I looked at the tot urial again, but found no answers. I have narrowed it down to my main router, since a laptop, smartphone and tablets couldn't connect to the Internet after wards.

i have a 2. Router because it's a big house.

Log onto the routers (normally 192.168.1.1 and I guess 192.168.1.2 for the second but I imagine it is just an access point so you should only have to edit one) and look at the DNS settings. Set it to 8.8.8.8 which is Googles DNS severs.

192.168.1.1 turns me into a wireless administrator site with username and passwords. How am i able to edit the DNS settings?

Need a little more information.

1. You say you changed it with a program called "DNS", can you provide a link?

2. Did you change it locally on the PC?

3. Do other users/devices get the same error?
