Dualshock 4 - Bluetooth Dongle

Hi,

 

I just ordered a New Dualshock 4 controller and a Avantree Bluetooth Adapter USB 4.0 Dongle. After I placed the order I noticed that Sony has it's own special USB Wireless adapter. Do I need that one or will the controller work trough the adapter that I ordered? Do I loose out on any functionality by goiung with the Avantree adapter?
