Hi,

I currently have 2 separate internet connection and have to keep these for a year minimum, have no choice as if I cancel I will be charged more.

So I was thinking is there a router where I can implement both connections into one? I have heard of a dual WAN router but not sure what it's used for, I read somewhere it's to easily use both connections but like I said i'm not sure.

So is there a router that I use both connections and use it as one? Might as well use what i'm paying for if there is a way lol.

Could you also recommend me a router that can do this? I dont need anything expensive, just something functional. After a year when I cancel my contract I will be left with one connection.

Thank You for all your help :)

what you are looking for is a load balancer wich teams two internet connections to appear as one across the network

just browse for models and pick one out you like and try find it locally

You don't want a load balancer.  Hardware Load balancers (HLB) do not do what you are asking for.  An HLB is designed to sit in front of several application servers and handle HA scenarios and balance the load between the servers.  An example of this would be you have several webservers that all serve up the same content and you want to split the load between them so that no one server gets overwhelmed.

ZyXEL USG50 supports Dual WAN.  They run around $220 on Amazon.

All these options either are too expensive as this will be only for a year or not what I want.

So how about I get a 2nd network card and connect both to the PC and then use a software to combine them?

I saw this: http://www.connectify.me/how-do-i-combine-multiple-internet-connections-dispatch/

So could that work or is that all just a lie lol.

Or is there anything similar that u recommend.

thanks for all the help guys :)

Unfortunately, dual WAN is a "business class" feature in routers so you need at minimum an SMB device to handle it.
