I have recently flashed my BIOS on my Asus G73JH with the latest driver update from the Asus website. Went through proper steps. Lets just say I am in the market for a new 17'' laptop on a budget. I am looking to spend less than $800 out the door price. I was hoping to get a few suggestions on here for a final pick.. I had in mind.. Thoughts. Thanks Master Race.

Here's two models I found to be good deals. Personally, you'll get a better price/performance ratio if you go with 15" since it's a better selling screen size. Hope I could help!

17":

This Acer laptop is one of your best bets at 17" and under $800. $580 gets you a dual core Kaby Lake i5 (newest architecture), 8GB DDR4, 256GB SSD and a GTX 940MX.

ACER 17" Laptop

15":

Dell Inspiron 7559 -

Comes with a quad core Skylake i5, 8GB of DDR3, 1TB SSHD Hybrid Drive and a GTX 960M. Overall, a solid laptop with generally favorable reviews. Best part is that it's only $800.

DELL Inspiron 7559

Personally, if you could live with 15" over 17". I'd recommend choosing the DELL. It has the best overall price/performance ratio and is a great all-rounder that should last you a few years if you take care of it. Hope I was of some help! Feel free to ask me questions if you have any! :)

The 7559 is good, but I'd also recommend checking out the Lenovo Ideapad Y700. I personally use this laptop. Mine is outfitted with a quad core i7, 16GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 1TB HDD and a GTX 960M, but it set me back about $1100. There are cheaper configs, though. If you really have to keep it under $1000, that DELL is going to be your best bet. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help you. :)
